Does it work internationally?

It covers all the major carriers in North America only.

Will it work in the home?

It could work in a home, but results aren't guaranteed. I would look to the home units for optimal performance as they have 70dB's of gain vs 23dB's that the N-Range has. As a reference, 3dB's double the power.

Does the phone have to be in the cradle to work? If so, what’s the phone size it will accept?

Yes, the phone has to be in the cradle to benefit from the amplification the system provides. As a result, this is a "single user" solution.
