In 1892, the Pestoni family began making wines in the Napa Valley. This makes them one of the few remaining pioneer wine-making families in production today. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather Henry and his great-grandfather Albino, fourth generation winemaker Andy Pestoni continues the tradition of crafting handmade estate wines exclusively from the family’s vineyards in the Napa Valley.

The Three Tears Vineyard property has been in the family for nearly half a century. Located on the eastern slope of Howell Mountain, Three Tears Vineyard is spread across three tiers with elevations ranging from 1,600 to 2,400 feet. The red volcanic soils and demanding weather conditions are worth the extra effort as this vineyard produces fruit recognized for its outstanding flavor and intensity.

A true testament to the complex and opulent wines this mountain is known for producing. An inky purple in the glass, this Cabernet Sauvignon opens with heady aromas of blackberry liqueur, rich leather and warm spices. The palate displays expressive notes of dark fruit, subtle graphite and mocha, while the lush and lavish texture is balanced by penetrating tannins. Drink now through the next 12 – 15 years.
