Does it work on carpet?

The Mofopole does work on carpet. Area rugs should be avoided however.

What about securing it with drywall/popcorn ceilings?

It was designed for drywall ceilings. You will have no issues with popcorn ceilings as well.

How quickly can this be assembled and disassembled?

The Mofopole goes up in 5 easy steps. Once you put it up, and understand how easy it is, it takes less than 2 minutes to assemble and disassemble.

Does the pole need lubrication for it to slide in and out without any unnecessary resistance?

No lubrication is required.
