The Tab shade is a flat pack light shade, designed for simple home assembly. Tab shade uses die cut veneer to offer a warm glowing light with an opal acrylic diffuser that ensures an even quality whilst disguising unsightly light bulbs.

The very thought of veneer might bring back memories of heavily-paneled rec room furniture, but young furniture designer John Green has taken up the cause of the maligned material. His Tab lamps are wood, reimagined for the next generation. The Tab is a laser-cut oak veneer lampshade with an opal acrylic diffuser. Built for use with energy-saving bulbs, the lampshade arrives flat-packed and easily assembles with a quick fold. Made in the UK, the combination of diffuser and wood imbues the light with organically warm tones, and strips the veneer of its heavy connotations. It's weightless sophistication.
