Product Description

Christiane was the codename of Blanche Charlet, an agent for Britain’s Special Operations executive during the Second World War. Her story is one of the most fascinating of the time, surviving capture and imprisonment at the hands of the Axis. She escaped her bondage and returned to England in 1944. The Gamages Of London Ladies Christiane Twilight in Blue pays tribute to her service which saw her awarded an MBE by King George.

The intricate Swiss Quartz movement bears a resemblance to the careful steps Charlet took while in service. Its dusk-navy dial is enhanced by the hands, 12-Hour indices and a diamond in the 12 position that help maintain a discreet but elegant style.
