Is it waterproof?

The HoloGear Basketball is not waterproof but is very durable and if the ball does get wet it won’t ruin the holographic effect. All you need to do it dry the wetness off to get the full glow effect.

Do you need the glasses to see the effects?

Yes and no. To see the ball with its holographic effects at night with your own eyes, yes. When you want to take a photo of the ball with your camera, as long as the flash is on, you will see that holographic effect!
