It is a genuine engraving. The staining process darkens the deeper parts. It’s the standard in how to darken the deeper parts of an engraved watch.
Can the band be shortened for better/tighter fit?Yes, links can be removed as needed to resize it.
Where is it made?We are a US-based company but source materials from different locations. The movement is entirely Japanese made and from Miyota, We have two of our own factories for casework, crystals, etc; one in Switzerland and one in China, and everything is brought in house at the end to the US for QC and finishing up the staining on the watch. The majority of assembly for this piece is in China to reduce the cost associated with engraving which is expensive.
