Being offered today is a very crisp and clean Choice Uncirculated (CU) 1928 B $20.00 Federal Reserve note. It is from the Kansas City Series which is designated by the “J” on the left side of the note. (see pics). The note carries a dark green seal (DGS) on the right side of the note. This note is very hard to find in this condition.

The upper left of the note states:

“REDEEMABLE ON GOLD ON DEMAND AT THE US TREASURY OR ON GOLD ORLAWFUL MONEY AT ANY FEDERAL RESERVE BANK”. So, at the time you could cash the note in for gold. Pretty cool.
