1928 A $ 1 Siver Certificates PMG 64 PPQ
Product Description
Being offered today is a High Grade $1 Dollar 1928 A “Funny Back” Series Silver Certificate. The note is graded by PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) in 64 PPQ (Premium Paper Quality) in Choice Uncirculated condition.
This was the first small size $ 1 Silver Certificate issued in the United States. This note was called the “Funny Back” as it looked like Monopoly money due to the design on the back. (see pictures).
Not to mention that these notes are 96 years old but look like they were just printed yesterday.
This note was backed by the U.S. Treasury Department for one dollar in silver coin back then. So, you could go to the bank and get silver dollars. Imagine if you got a rare 1893 S (San Francisco) Morgan Dollar. It is worth 1 million today.
The note is centered very well, and the ink just pops off the note. The colors are bright and bold. The note has fantastic eye appeal. The note shows no sign of wear on the corners or the sides. All of the corners and edges of the note are crisp and clean. There are no pinholes, rips, stains, or tears.
The note is encased in a long-term preservation holder. The holder is made to enhance the presentation of the encapsulated note and protects against counterfeiting and tampering.
This note is encased and sealed by PCGS. Every PCGS certified note is backed by the industry leading PCGS guarantee, which provides greater protection for both BUYERS AND SELLERS.
