The Seymchan meteorite was discovered in June of 1967 in the Magadan Oblast region of Russia. This Seymchan Pallasite Meteorite is a stunning example of the crystalized metal and olivine gemstones associated with this rare variety. The metal-rich areas display Widmanstätten pattern and the olive green to amber areas are the Olivine gems. This specimen has been cut and polished to display clear cross-sections of the interplay between olivine crystals and the surrounding iron-nickel matrix. The rear of this specimen is in its natural condition, darkened by natural weathering over time. The contrast displayed here is rare and exquisite.
