Product Description

Treasure from the shipwreck of Santa Margarita, a heavily laden Spanish treasure ship which sank in a raging hurricane on September 6, 1622, near the Florida Keys. The galleon was part of King Philip IV’s Tierra Firme Fleet. More than 120 souls were lost, and countless tons of treasure sank to the ocean floor. It was excavated and recovered by the famous Mel Fisher in 1982. This nice silver 4-reale “cob” is set into a modern custom silver and 14K gold pendant, making it a wonderful and wearable piece of shipwreck history! Comes with Mel Fisher photo certificate, coin registration number 82M-3752-1
